Community at pear
Rooted in Connection
At pear, we believe healing doesn’t happen in isolation. The wellbeing of mothers is tied to families, communities, and the systems that shape our lives. That’s why our work extends far beyond individual sessions - we partner, advocate, and teach to create ripples of change that reach women, children, and future generations.
INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY CARE
Our foundation is one-on-one care and inclusive family support. Through counseling, coaching, and yoga, we help women navigate perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, birth trauma, identity shifts, and the emotional transformations that come with motherhood. Every session is grounded in compassion, time, and space to be fully seen.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
We stay connected to our beautiful community by collaborating with local midwives, chiropractors, physical therapists, and community advocacy groups. These partnerships ensure mothers receive holistic, coordinated care. We also host classes, workshops, and circles that invite women to move, learn, and heal together.
POLICY & ADVOCACY
Motherhood is in crisis, and system-level change is essential. Jessica actively works with organizations like Chamber of Mothers, Postpartum Support International, and the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance to advocate for policies such as paid family leave and improved maternal healthcare. She brings the voices of mothers to both local and national conversations, because change only happens when we rise together.
Mentorship for Social Workers
pear also invests in the next generation of clinicians. Jessica partners with universities including VCU, NSU, the University of Michigan, and the University of Nebraska to mentor MSW students through internships in maternal mental health. Students receive hands-on training in trauma-informed care, advocacy, and the integration of yoga and psychotherapy.

Why We Do This
Because when mothers are supported, families thrive. When families thrive, communities flourish. At pear, we are committed to tending every layer of this ecosystem - individual, family, community, and policy - so that healing can ripple outward in golden, meaningful, long-lasting ways.
